Dear Stakeholders,
 
We have been commissioned by the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture to Review the Archives Act, Legal Deposit Act, and NCLIS Act, which are all key to the archives and libraries sectors. The end product will be Draft Bills.
 
We have run two set of engagements concerning each of the Acts, with the first concerning the unpacking of the Acts, and the second addressing digital transformation, which is the primary motivation for this review.
 
Arising from these we are now conducting a final set of stakeholder engagements prior to producing the Initial Draft Bills, and these are based on topics which have been extracted from the discussions held in the previous engagements.
 
Rather than addressing these to the specific groups of stakeholder, we are inviting all stakeholders, and propose that you see which are more relevant to your interests, and in which you can contribute to the discussions. The purpose of these focus groups is to better understand these topics, which could not be covered in full due to the time in the general engagements.
