Negative Image |
A photographic image in which the values of light and shade of the original photographed subject are represented in inverse order. In a negative image light objects of the original subject are represented by high densities and dark objects are represented by low densities. In a colour negative. Colours are represented by their complementary colour |

Optical Soundtrack |
An audio signal on a motion picture film in which the sound recording takes the form of density variation in a photographic image, also called photographic soundtrack |

Panchromatic Film |
Black and white, silver emulsion film which is sensitive to the entire visible colour spectrum, and usually to ultraviolet, in tones of about the same relative brightness as the human eye sees. All colours are reproduced in various shades of grey |
