Splice

The joining of two pieces of film or tape materials together by cementing, taping, or spacing materials,  using various devices (cement, splicing tape, ultrasonic welding, etc.)

Telecine

A machine which converts the optical images previously recorded on standard motion picture film into electrical video signals; also called film chain

The formal registration of carriers into the custody and system of an archive
Voice-over

In moving-image productions, the narrator's comments when the narrator is not seen; see also commentative sound. Not to be con-fused with overlap sound
