02/05/2024 The National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF) together with the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture (DSAC), in response to the Presidential employment stimulus programme, is looking to recruit South African graduates and unemployed youth (aged 35 and younger) to assist with the digitization project for the National Archives and Records Services of South Africa (NARSSA) The project will be based at the National Archives and Records Service of South Africa in Pretoria and will end on 31 March 2025. |
10/04/2024 We take note that since October 2023, the Old NAAIRS has been unstable due to the application becoming obsolete. We are working with the State Information Technology Agency (SITA) to resolve these challenges to ensure that we have a stable and user-friendly database for members of the public and researchers to use. The Department is also working with SITA to improve the search functionality on the new website to ensure easy access to our collections. |
